WELCOME TO EVANGELINE CATAHOULAS
We are an NALC Certified Breeder and member of ACA. This is a small,
family kennel located on the North shore of Lake Ontario in Southern Ontario,
Canada.
Our dogs are registered with both NALC (National Association of Louisiana
Catahoulas) and UKC (United Kennel Club). At Evangeline Catahoulas our goal is
to breed Catahoulas that are sound of body and temperament. Catahoulas
that are intelligent, have correct conformation and that possess an inate
working ability and a strong prey drive. We aim to improve the breed and
we maintain very high standards for the dogs we choose to perpetuate future
generations.
Our dogs are family members and are not kept in kennels but share the house with
us. All of our dogs have been hip tested and proven free of hip dysplasia
either through OFA (Orthopaedic Foundation for Animals) or PennHIP (University
of Pennsylvania Hip Improvement Program). They have been DNA tested to determine
suitability for breeding.
They have proven themselves in the conformation ring and are all either Double
Champions or Grand Champions. They compete and excel in various shows and
trials including UKC, CRB, COBRA and NALC treeing and hog bay trials.
